Also, Korean national parks provide an unforgettable trip as they are extremely spectacular and attractive. And mostly, the national parks are located in South Korea, and the best season to visit those national parks is summer or late summer as the temperature is suitable to take a wander or hiking. 1.Seoraksan National Park:

Located on east-central Korean peninsula, Seoraksan national park was named as a tentative World Heritage site by South Korean government and UNESCO. In 1965, South Korean government was nominated Seoraksan national park as a natural reserve while the UNESCO was nominated it as a biosphere reserve in 1982.  It is the best national park for everyone who is environmental-friendly and is enthusiastic with the nature and exploration. It is the home of plenty of rare taxa of flora and fauna. Also, there are more than 1013 species of plant, and it is the home of other rare plants. There are a wide range of mountain ranges; the highest mountain is Daecheongbong at an altitude of 1,708 meters.  The overall size of this national park is 398.22 km2.

It is the home to 88 species of plants and 924 species of animals. The most attractive places in Juwangsan national park are Daejeonsa temple, Jusanji Lake, hermitage of Juwangam and Baekryeonam, and Dalgi waterfall.

Gayasan national park is laid from the top of South Gyeongsang province to the bottom of North Gyeongsang province. It covers more than 160 Km2. There are two beautiful mountains located at this national park; they are Sangwangbong at an altitude of 1430 and Chulbulbong above sea level of 1433. In 1966, it was announced as the Scenic site by the Korean government and in 1972 it became the official national park of Korea. It is the home of 100 bird and animal species and 380 plant species. The most attractive sites are Haeinsa which is a standing Buddha figure carved into sheer rock face, Yongmun Falls and Hongyudong Valley.

Situated on the boundaries of Jeollanam-do, Jeollabuk-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do, and also situated on the boundaries of the town of Namwon, Gurye, and Hamyang, Jiri-san was designed as the first national park in South Korea in 1967. The total size of this national park is 471.75 Km2. This national park is surrounded by streams and rivers creating pristine waterfall at the side of the park; that makes this national park to be more attractive and beautiful.

Now, the Ministry of Environment is preserving those endangered species.

The thing that you should not miss to see at Byeonsan-bando national park is Sambyeon; there are Byeonjae, the long and straight pine tree, Byeonran, the wild orchids, and Byeoncheong, the honey. It is also beautiful for its sunset view that attracts many visitors every year.

Chiaksan national park is located in Gangwong-do province; there are 821 plant species, 2364 animal species and 34 endangered species. The first name of park is Jeokak, related to a mythical story that a man was rescued by pheasant when he was in danger. Then, its name change to Chiaksan, meaning pheasant. The hot spots are Daewungjeon, Guryong waterfall, the Turtle Stone, Tiger Stone and Dragor Stone.
